Standard Delivery
JW Flooring’s standard delivery service is 2-4 working days.
Our delivery rates cover Mainland UK only and excluding Scottish Highlands and some other remote areas. Remote areas will incur an additional charge. If this applies to you we will contact you with a delivery quote before processing your order.
Delivery will be between approximately 9.00am and 6.00pm on the agreed date. Unfortunately an estimated time of arrival is generally not available.
A signature will be required upon delivery.
Smaller orders (Less than 60sqm) are generally sent by a parcel carrier (UPS or DX). Larger orders are usually sent on a pallet by Palletways.
Next Day, Saturday & AM Deliveries
Should you need a quicker delivery service then please call us asap. A 1-2 working day service is usually available on stock items if the order is received before noon. Usually there is no additional charge for this.
A Saturday delivery service is available for an additional charge. Should you require this service please call us.
Unfortunately unless we send your order using a palletised service (minimum charge £65 +VAT) we can no longer guarentee a next day delivery. There are no longer any UK parcel delivery carriers who offer a guarenteed service on bulky items such as our rolls of flooring. This is because bulky items have to be manually handled in their distribution depots whereas normal parcels go on an automated converyor belt system. This manual handling can sometimes cause delays hence they will not guarentee a next day service. However we are currently finding that about 85% of our orders are still arriving the next working day with the remainder usually the following working day.
Delivery Terms
JW Flooring has teamed up with reputable delivery partners UPS, DX and Palletways to ensure a reliable delivery service.
Heavy orders (approx. 20sqm+) can be difficult for one person to manage so the driver may require assistance. Please arrange for adequate help to off load your goods.
Your delivery will be by lorry or van so it is assumed that the delivery address will be accessible. If there is a likely problem, e.g. the road is subject to a vehicle weight or width restriction or parking, it is within a time zone restriction; please inform us at the time of order so we can discuss alternative delivery options. Failed deliveries may incur a redelivery charge.
If the carrier is unable to deliver on the agreed date because you are not home, or there is inadequate help available you will be liable for any additional costs incurred for redelivery.
The carrier will need a signature, if you have to go out you could leave a signed note asking the flooring to be delivered to a secure area or neighbour. JW Flooring and the carrier cannot be liable for any loss or damage in this instance.
Very rarely damage may occur during the transportation of goods. It is important to check and sign for your order on arrival. If you receive damaged goods please make sure it is noted on the couriers paperwork. We also strongly suggest that you contact us direct ASAP to make sure we aware of the problem. We cannot be responsible for any consequential losses after delivery has been signed for. Therefore we advise against booking fitters until goods have arrived and been checked.
Where goods are refused on delivery that are found to be undamaged on return we reserve the right to pass on any carriage charges that we incur in returning the goods to us.
Very occasionally things do go wrong once your delivery is in the hands of the carrier (breakdowns, driver out of hours, etc) and your delivery maybe delayed. We strongly recommend you do not book a flooring fitter until you are in receipt of the flooring. JW Flooring is not liable for any costs incurred whatsoever as a result of late or incorrect delivery of your order due to any reason. Unfortunately we can not refund any delivery costs.
